Stable Management Courses are for children who are able to demonstrate an enthusiastic and long-term interest in the stables and the welfare of our horses.

We are able to offer Stable Management Courses subject to availability. Cost per child is £250.

Duties involve helping with all aspects of stable management, from mucking out and tacking up, to grooming and helping out with our gymkhanas. Please note that these are voluntary positions for which the children offer their time free of charge.

There are many benefits of being involved in the management of Hartwell Stables:

• It's a fun way to spend a few hours 2 or 3 times per week
• It teaches children a certain amount of discipline with regards to taking on serious responsibilities
• It's a great way to make new friends with similar interests
• It educates children in the realities of owning and looking after a large animal
